The Antriksh Space Club (ASC) is started on 28th February 2022, This club aims to build a satellite for providing reliable bidirectional communication in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) at 500-800km height. We have planned to launch students’ satellites as one of the co-curricular activities. Expert talk, visits by ISRO scientists Dr. Vishnu B. Lal, Ex-Group director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Dr. Satish Rao, Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad, and Dr. Deepak Pandya have been conducted at the institute under the Antriksh space club. Three students have got an opportunity to do an internship at ISRO, Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad for being associated with this club. We are moving one step forward by building our own satellite (Balloonsat) and launcher.
Objectives:
- To spread the awareness and knowledge of astronomy and space sciences to the students.
- To act as a platform which enables the students to empirically test their knowledge.
- To enhance the knowledge of the students by indulging them with the latest research and developments in the space technology.
