About Forbes Marshall
This laboratory is established and sponsored by Forbes Marshall Pvt.Ltd., Pimpri, Pune-411018. As a gesture of goodwill and as a long term association and contribution with institute, Forbes Marshall set up the comprehensive flow and level lab with the latest technology products and systems which cost is approximately Rs.12 lacs in Instrumentation Engineering Department.
It consists of different types of flow meters and level guage such as Electromagnetic flow meter, Differential Pressure Transmitter, Flow switch, Vortex Flow meter, Rota meter and Magnetic level guage. Along with this, there are control valves, isolation valves, pressure and temperature gauges/transmitters, control panels, tank. One very important is Industrial Distributed Control System and their allied accessories.
Objective of Collaboration:
The objective of this collaborative partnership is
- Promote the overall growth and enlightenment of students and thus enhancement of their practical skill sets in the field of automation.
- It will also help them for their employment and it will become ease for them to work with the latest technology in their professional carrier.
- Students will get good opportunity to handle and closely study these state-of-the-art industrial instruments year on year and thus facilitate their in-depth understanding of the principle of operation, construction and working, besides knowing the technologies involved to build them.
- Final goal of this centre of Excellence is to make students industry ready.
