AISSMS Institute of Information Technology successfully conducted the Earn and Learn Scheme under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. B. Mane and the coordination of Dr. S. S. The Earn and Learn Scheme is an initiative that provides financial support to economically weaker students by giving them part-time work opportunities within the institute. Tree Plantation

A tree plantation drive was organized by YIN Sakal in collaboration with Engineering colleges of Pune city. The activity was guided by Principal Dr. P. B. Mane and coordinated by Dr. S. S. The plantation was carried out at Yewalewadi, contributing to environmental conservation.


SDO Annual Planning meeting

A planning meeting for Student Development Officers (SDOs) was organized by the Board of Student Development (BSD), Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), to provide guidance to all SDOs from Pune city and rural areas. The meeting focused on the effective implementation of various student welfare schemes. Detailed guidance was provided on how to conduct and monitor schemes such as the Earn and Learn Scheme, including eligibility criteria, rules, documentation, and implementation procedures. Information regarding student insurance schemes was also explained thoroughly. Special emphasis was given to the Nirbhaya Kanya Scheme, covering objectives, benefits, and eligibility. Participants were guided on the proper procedure for filling and submitting proposals, along with required documents and timelines. The session was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Abhijeet Kulkarni, who explained the guidelines in detail and clarified queries from the participants. The meeting proved highly informative and beneficial for ensuring smooth and effective execution of BSD schemes at the institute level.

The session was delivered by Lieutenant Anuj More, who shared his personal experience and success journey. The program was coordinated by Dr. S. S. Gadadhe from the Student Development Organization along with the IT Department.
The main objective of the session was to guide students about the SSB interview process and motivate them to pursue a career in the Indian Army.
Lieutenant Anuj More explained various stages of the SSB selection process in a clear and practical manner.He also provided useful tips on preparation strategies, communication skills, and leadership qualities.The session highlighted the importance of confidence, discipline, and decision-making abilities.Students actively participated and clarified their doubts during the interactive session.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, a significant event was held at AISSMS Institute of Information Technology with enthusiastic participation from the students. The celebration was guided by Dr. P. B. Mane, Principal, and coordinated by Dr. S. S. Gadadhe, in alignment with the institute’s commitment to celebrating the contributions of great leaders in Indian history. Birsa Munda, a revered tribal leader and freedom fighter, played a crucial role in the Indian independence movement, particularly in the fight against British colonial rule and the exploitation of tribal communities. He led the Ulgulan (Great Rebellion) against British authority in the late 19th century and worked tirelessly to protect the rights of indigenous people. Known for his efforts to preserve tribal culture and promote social justice, Birsa Munda is considered a hero among the Adivasi communities.

The birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule was celebrated with great respect and enthusiasm at AISSMS Institute of Information Technology. The program was coordinated by Mr. S. R. Kokane, NSS Program Officer, and Dr. S. S. Gadadhe, Student Welfare Officer, under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. B. Mane.
The objective of the program was to create awareness among students about the life, struggles, and contributions of Savitribai Phule to education and social reform. Savitribai Phule is remembered as India’s first female teacher and a pioneer in promoting education for girls and marginalized communities. Along with her husband Jyotirao Phule, she started the first school for girls in Pune in 1848 and worked tirelessly to remove social discrimination and promote equality in society.
During the program, students were informed about her inspirational journey and the importance of education in social transformation. The activity motivated students to respect the values of equality, education, and social justice. The celebration helped students understand the significance of Savitribai Phule’s contribution to society and encouraged them to follow her ideals in their lives.


NSS Camp

A National Service Scheme (NSS) Camp Visit was successfully organized with the participation of 75 students. The camp was coordinated by Mr. S. R. Kokane and Mr. C. K. Bhange. The main objective of the camp was to provide students with practical exposure to rural life and to develop a sense of social responsibility, teamwork, and service among them.
The camp was conducted during the cold season, where students experienced the real lifestyle of villagers. They learned how villagers manage their daily activities and survive even in challenging weather conditions. The students closely observed the unity among the villagers and understood how the community works together to solve problems and support each other.
During the camp, students actively participated in various activities and also experienced working in the kitchen by helping in cooking and serving food. This activity helped them understand the importance of cooperation, discipline, and teamwork. The students also interacted with villagers and learned about the struggles they face to obtain basic facilities such as water, roads, and other essential services. These interactions gave students a deeper understanding of rural development issues.

The celebration aimed to make students aware of the life, courage, and patriotic contribution of Subhas Chandra Bose to India’s freedom struggle. Subhas Chandra Bose, popularly known as Netaji, was one of the most prominent leaders who strongly believed that freedom must be achieved through determination and sacrifice. He formed the Indian National Army and inspired millions of Indians with his famous slogan “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.”During the program, students were informed about Netaji’s leadership, his efforts to unite Indians for independence, and his vision of a strong and independent India. The activity encouraged students to develop qualities such as courage, leadership, discipline, and dedication toward the nation.


Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

A one-day workshop on the importance of a drug-free society was organized in Pune under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Participants from different parts of Maharashtra attended the workshop to spread awareness about the harmful effects of addiction and to promote a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
The program was graced by the presence of Deepa Mudhol Munde, who addressed the participants and emphasized the need for collective efforts from society, educational institutions, and youth to eliminate drug addiction. She highlighted that awareness, counseling, and community participation are essential to make India a drug-free nation.
The workshop included informative sessions by expert speakers such as Mukta Puntambekar, Kavita Andhare, and Sandip Tambare. The speakers explained the physical, psychological, and social impacts of substance abuse and discussed preventive measures. They also guided participants on how to identify addiction problems and support people in overcoming such habits.
The experts encouraged youth to stay away from drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances and to motivate others to adopt healthy lifestyles. The workshop also stressed the importance of education, awareness campaigns, and community support in achieving the goals of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.


Alacrity- Cultural Festival

The program was graced by the presence of popular actress Prarthana Behere as the chief guest. The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. B. Mane and in the presence of management member Suresh Pratap Shinde along with other dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
During the fest, several sports events such as cricket, volleyball, badminton, and indoor games were organized to promote teamwork, fitness, and sportsmanship among students. Along with sports, a variety of cultural events including dance competitions, singing performances, drama, and talent shows were conducted where students enthusiastically displayed their creativity and artistic skills.
The festival also included technical events such as coding competitions, technical quizzes, project presentations, and innovation-based activities. These events helped students to enhance their technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.

The birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was celebrated with great enthusiasm at AISSMS Institute of Information Technology. The program was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. B. Mane and coordinated by Mr. S. R. Kokane and Dr. S. S. Gadadhe.
The celebration began with a Palkhi procession of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s portrait in the college premises. Students enthusiastically participated in the procession by chanting slogans and showing respect to the great Maratha king.
During the program, Powada performances were presented by students, highlighting the bravery, leadership, and achievements of Shivaji Maharaj. The powerful performances created a patriotic atmosphere and inspired the audience.
The Aarti of Shivaji Maharaj was performed by management members including Suresh Pratap Shinde and Ajay Patil along with faculty members and students. They paid tribute to Shivaji Maharaj and appreciated the efforts of students for organizing the event.


Student Exchange Program

A delegation from Happy Science University, Japan visited AISSMS Institute of Information Technology from 18–20 February 2026 as part of an academic and cultural exchange program.
The visiting delegation included faculty member Mari Hashizume and students Yamato Osada, Natsumi Hagita, and Hiroaki Abe.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Principal P. B. Mane and coordinated by M. A. Thalor.
During the visit, the delegates interacted with students and faculty members and shared information about their academic programs, culture, and education system in Japan. Various discussions and activities were organized to promote academic collaboration and cultural exchange.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to learn about international education, cultural diversity, and global perspectives. Overall, the three-day visit was a meaningful and enriching experience that strengthened academic and cultural relations between students of India and Japan.


Technical Paper Writing

A Technical Paper Writing Workshop was organized at AISSMS Institute of Information Technology to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in academic and research writing. The session was delivered by Dr. Munot from Pune Institute of Computer Technology.
During the workshop, Dr. Munot explained the importance of technical paper writing for students and researchers. He guided students on how to select a research topic, conduct literature reviews, and present their research work in a structured and professional manner. The session also covered the basic structure of a technical paper, including title, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
Students were also introduced to the process of publishing research papers in journals and conferences. The speaker highlighted the importance of originality, proper citation, plagiarism checking, and the use of references in research writing. Practical tips were shared on how to write clearly, organize ideas effectively, and present research findings with the help of tables, graphs, and diagrams.


Marathi Bhasha Divas

Marathi Bhasha Divas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at AISSMS Institute of Information Technology to promote the richness and importance of the Marathi language and literature.
The program was conducted in the presence of Mandar Khurjekar and Principal P. B. Mane. The event was coordinated by the library department and the librarian Pushpa Hirave.
The program began with floral tribute to the photograph of Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, popularly known as Kusumagraj, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as Marathi Bhasha Divas.
During the event, students participated in activities related to Marathi literature. Students were encouraged to read Marathi books and prepare abstracts after reading books. The best abstracts prepared by students were appreciated, and the students were felicitated for their efforts in promoting reading and understanding Marathi literature.
