Special Session

CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS

The ESCI 2020 organizers cordially invite internationally recognized experts to propose Special Sessions within a general scope of the conference. Special Sessions are expected to push the frontiers in both classic, contemporary, and emerging topics of interest to the Smart Computing and Informatics. We also encourage more applied impact-type Special Sessions with a focus on fields of critical importance to the society, together with cross-disciplinary bridging-the-gap topics aiming to establish connections with other research communities.
To submit your proposal, please fill in the form, convert it as PDF, and email the generated PDF to the esci2020ss@aissmsioit.org

Proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic and on the qualifications of the organizers and of the authors of the contributed papers as well.
After your proposal is accepted you may be asked to submit a list of tentative paper titles and their authors in your special session. Please start to invite your colleagues to join your special session. Please encourage your colleagues to show their best efforts to join this conference. We deeply appreciate your initiative in your research field and encouragement to your colleagues.
The papers in each accepted Special Session will undergo a review process, similar to the other regular papers and paper submission to proposed Special sessions is not a guarantee of acceptance. Submitted Papers through Special Session will be evaluated based on their originality, significance of the contribution to the field, technical correctness and presentation. Authors should make explicit how the work offers unique and substantial contribution beyond what has already been published or submitted. It is the responsibility of the organizers to ensure that their Special Session papers meet IEEE quality standards. In case a paper in a Special Session does not meet the expected quality, it will be rejected and an effort will be made to draw papers from the regular submission process to fill in the gap. If too many papers for a given Special Session are not accepted in the review process and we are unable to find suitable substitutes from the regular review pool, the Special Session may be canceled. In such a case, the accepted papers from a canceled Special Session will be placed into the regular program.
Proposals should be sent in PDF to the Special Session chairs at the email: esci2020ss@aissmsioit.org, any other inquiries may be sent to the above mentioned e-mail address.
